Being born and raised on a dairy farm, just a couple miles from Smith Mountain Lake, Harris can remember the construction of Hales Ford Bridge and Smith Mountain Dam. At that time, he did not realize just how much the development of Smith Mountain Lake would impact his life. The area now offers all types of housing, services and amenities, situated in a rural setting.
Currently Harris is a a fifth generation owner of his family home place, where he lives with his wife Pam. In 1986 Harris became a licensed Realtor earning high sales awards ever since. In 1990 he earned my Real Estate Broker’s license. In 1993 he worked to develop and produced a comprehensive map of Smith Mountain Lake showing all the lake’s roads, neighborhood and points of interest.
